A Prayer for the Teenager

Last week I felt led to write a poem for a teen. I hope these words provide reassurance.

I pray you are heard

I pray you stand firm

I pray God gives you the strength to discern

Pulled in different directions, God knows your intentions

I pray your faith won’t be confined with dimensions

I pray you feel love

I pray you find peace

I pray your happiness will always increase

In those sad moments, His comfort is golden

I pray He guards your heart, so it will never be stolen

I know there is pain

I know you feel doubt

I know it is hard to remember what you’re about

You have purpose!

You are needed

You are someone He has always believed in

I pray you thrive

I pray you are energized

I pray you work together, it will change lives

I pray if you’re alone, His presence gives you home

I pray you pray

I pray you ask

I pray you hope

I pray He delivers the desires of your heart
