Backpacks

A backpack is essential for success in school. 

Backpack ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Invite your small group, or any group of people to get together. 

  2. Fill out an interest form to see what backpack age groups (Elementary, Middle or High School) are needed. 

  3. Purchase the supplies you’ll need: See below.

  4. Assemble the backpacks. 

  5. Share about your involvement: You might want to use this opportunity to share about Mission Adelante's vision. You may also want to talk about our ongoing volunteer opportunities:  

  6. Deliver the backpacks: Finally, bring the backpacks to Mission Adelante! Contact Carla at carlaf@missionadelante.org to confirm a time.

SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR ELEMENTARY BACKPACK

  • 1 backpack

  • 1 standard sized school box

  • 1 box of 24 crayons

  • 4 packages of #2 pencils

  • 1 box of colored pencils

  • 1 box of 8 to 10 markers

  • 1 pair of 4 or 5 inch scissors

  • 3 wide lined spiral notebooks

  • 5 solid colored pocket folders

  • 2 packages of wide-lined notebook paper

  • 2 glue sticks

  • 1 box of Kleenex or 1 package of anti-bacterial wipes

SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR mIDDLE SCHOOL BACKPACK

  • 1 backpack

  • 1- 3 inch binder

  • 1 zippered pencil package

  • 2 packages college ruled notebook paper

  • 2 packages dividers

  • 4 packages of #2 pencils

  • 1 package of ink pens

SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR high SCHOOL BACKPACK

  • 1 backpack with a laptop sleeve (our students are issued approx. 13 x 9 inch laptops at school and cannot take them home without a backpack with a laptop sleeve in it)

  • 1- 2 inch binder

  • 1 package of dividers

  • 2 packages college ruled notebook paper

  • 2 packages of #2 pencils

  • 1 package of ink pens
